Hardly any sector is as customer intensive as the hospitality trade. This requires high standards from the employees, which is why we like to invest a great deal in our “junior employees”. These efforts were once again rewarded by Hoteldirektorenverband Deutschland e.V., with the award “excellent training”.
The fact that only 40 other companies nationwide were awarded this distinction, makes the Platzl Hotel a forerunner in the German hotel trade. We will continue to further strengthen this position in future, by focusing on our trainees.

As a tourist operation, we have an additional responsibility to run our business in an environmentally friendly way. Ultimately, we want to offer guests, who want to get to know our region, the best possible air and water quality, and intact cultural and landscape treasures.
For this reason, we adhere to the strict guidelines of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FFE), which inspects thousands of tourist establishments worldwide, in terms of environmental and sustainability education.
The “Green Key“ accordingly distinguishes us as a sustainable hotel, with active environmental management.

As a certified operation, we rely on sustainable, well grounded knowledge, in the areas of hygiene, law, company management and service quality.
Thereby, qualification and continual further training and education is a top priority.
In order to obtain the points required for the GMP, we visibly document, together with our employees, existing competences and qualifications in our operation.
