How To Get to Our Hotel With Parking in Munich

Arrive and take a deep breath. Despite its central location in the heart of Munich, the Platzl Hotel is easy to reach by car and the best: Parking is available directly at the hotel (for a fee).
Just a 5 minute walk from the famous Marienplatz, our hotel with parking in Munich’s city centre is also easily accessible by tram, bus, underground and S-Bahn from all directions.
Situated in the Altstadt-Lehel district – the historic heart of Munich – the Platzl Hotel is steps away from the Hofbräuhaus, the Residenz palace complex, and the luxury shopping boulevard Maximilianstraße. The surrounding area is easy to navigate on foot, and all major Munich attractions are within a short walk or tram ride.
Arriving by Car
Many roads lead to Munich: The highways A8, A9, A92, A94 or A95 take you directly to the city centre from all directions.

Parking at Platzl Hotel
You are welcome to use our public underground car parking, which is located right next to the entrance of our Munich city centre hotel (EUR 30.00 per day). The parking garage also provides two Tesla and seven electric charging stations. Charging is free for all hotel, conference and restaurant guests.

Arriving by Public Transportation
It is just as easy to get here using the city's public transportation system as it is by car. If you are traveling by train, you can easily reach the Platzl Hotel by various means of transport:
- Streetcar 19 (direction Berg am Laim) and streetcar 21 (direction St.-Veit-Straße): Get on the streetcar at the main station and get off at the Nationaltheater stop. From there it is only a 3-minute walk to the hotel.
- S-Bahn: Take an S-Bahn from the main station in the direction of Marienplatz. From there you can reach the hotel in about 5 minutes on foot.
- If you are arriving by plane, the S-Bahn lines S1 or S8 will take you directly to Marienplatz. Here too, the walk to the hotel is only 5 minutes.
- U-Bahn: The nearest U-Bahn station is Marienplatz (lines U3 and U6), approximately 5 minutes on foot from the hotel. This is a convenient option if you are arriving from other parts of the city such as Schwabing, Sendling or the trade fairgrounds (Messe München).
Tickets
Tickets: Single trips within the city centre cost approx. EUR 4.20. A day pass (Tageskarte) for the inner zone (Innenraum) costs approx. EUR 10.10 and covers unlimited travel for the full day on all MVV lines. Travelling from the airport? Take the Airport-City-Day-Ticket for EUR 17.50.
Tickets can be purchased at yellow ticket machines (available in English), at the MVV counters, or via the MVV app.
