The chefs in the kitchens of the Platzl Hotel cook using predominantly Bavarian and seasonal products and this affinity to regional products continues to the breakfast buffet and in our hotel. Delicious regional cuisine in Platzl Hotel
In our magazine we have already reported to you on various occasions about the regional focus of our cuisine. An example of this was when our executive chef Michael Sobota personally visited asparagus growers in Schrobenhausen to see the regional quality of the “white gold” for himself. The Platzl bread from the “Brotmanufaktur Schmidt” also comes exclusively from the local region. Even the coffee beans for our coffee specialities are roasted in Bavaria and our tea comes from Chiemgau.

The strawberry is Germany’s most popular berry although it’s actually not a berry at all. It belongs to the family of aggregate fruits or etaerio, because the delicious red portion of the strawberry is only a “pseudo-fruit”. But this did not hold back the creative heads in Platzl Hotel from creating a refreshing summer drink.
