SCHÖTTLE’S GASTRO TIP: “AUBERGINE” IN STARNBERG


Dear readers, this time we go outside of Munich, to Lake Starnberg. That is where my next gastro tip is located - the Aubergine Restaurant. Relaxed ambiance meets the highest culinary standard.

Since the opening of “Aubergine” in Starnberg at the end of 2012, the gourmet restaurant of the “Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten” has received various awards - including a Michelin star.

Extraordinary in taste and atmosphere

The restaurant awaits you with astonishing flavors in a relaxed atmosphere. Every four to six weeks, Maximilian Moser and his team stage new, creative menus with dishes such as purslane catfish liver, Maibock beer with malt waffle or hanger steak and asparagus.

My colleague F&B Manager Josef Zeilingerand and the whole service team at the Aubergine also create a wonderful feel good atmosphere. Aubergine colored flower decorations and lighting elements are supplemented with warm gray color accents.

Our recommendation for summer

Rent our Platzl bikes and go on a cycle tour to Starnberg. After nice hours on the lake, surrounded by a magnificent landscape, enjoy a sophisticated evening meal at “Aubergine” before you cycle back to Munich at sunset.
