The month of October is coming to an end, which also means that the world famous Oktoberfest, Munich’s biggest festival, is over, too. After this traditional highlight of the year, a number of great events ranging from culture, music and on to sports will take place in November in the Bavarian capital – something for everyone! You will see, Munich constantly amazes with its incredible variety. We are delighted to be able to tell you now about several highlights you will not want to miss…

On 27 November, we will welcome one of the music scene’s biggest superstars to Munich: Sir Elton John! His “Greatest Hits Live” tour at Munich’s Olympic Hall will take his audience on a journey through time. The two-hour programme will feature a carefully selected cross-section of his hits going back more than 40 years. The audience can expect to be treated to classics including “Rocket Man,” “Crocodile Rock” and “Candle In The Wind”! Get some of the last remaining seats!

Lovers of classical music will also be treated to a delight as the year comes to a close. They can look forward to Swan Lake, probably the most popular ballet ever. Peter I. Tchaikovsky’s score not only thrills audiences with its high level of artistry, but has for many became the epitome of classical ballet. Experience this timeless four-act tale of the struggle between good and evil on 18 November as interpreted by the St Petersburg Classical Ballet or on 2 December with the Kiev State Ballet. Finally, from 6 November, it is time for all equestrian things at “Munich Indoors”, the top event for fans of horse riding sports. The Olympic Hall in Bavaria’s capital is one of the finest arenas in Germany and opens its doors again in 2014 to riders, horses and, of course, equestrian fans from all over the world. This international equestrian show includes a wide range of events, such as jumping, vaulting and dressage. Spectacular show performances, as well as a riding exhibition and junior tests will complete the extensive programme. Guests will also be treated to culinary delights from cuisines ranging from the Mediterranean to Bavaria. Munich is a must this autumn for equestrian fans!
