The Chianina breed of cattle
Known as the largest cattle breed in the world, the famous Chianina cattle which come up to 1.80 meters tall and exceed 1,500 kilograms in weight is living in thebeautiful Tuscany in central Italy. Formerly a draught breed, the cows were characterized over the years by its very tasty meat and are now mainly raised as a beef cattle. Because of their sensitive mind they are bred and cared for “with kid gloves”, otherwise the quality of meat would suffer. Its white fur let the breed of cattle be a very elegant part in the natural landscapes of the Tuscany.
A Tuscan delicacy
Today, the meat of the Chianina cattle is known as a delicacy. And how it is going with delicacies, they are hard to come by. However, guests of the Munich Restaurant Pfistermühle can enjoy this rare specialty in July.

A steak of about 750 grams taken from the Chianina breed of cattle, roasted with thyme and garlic. Seasoned with fine olive oil. Served with green salad and roasted rosemary potatoes.

Limoux is located in the western Languedoc and extends on both sides of the River Aude. These Chardonnays impress with their fresh and light note, and the strong taste of the grape-vine while the usually Barrique taste is less intensive.
