Carnival in Munich 2011
This year, along with the GOP Varieté Theater, the theater tent in Fröttmaning will be transformed in Munich’s largest ballroom again. Guests can expect both artistic and culinary delights (including parts of the musical “Grease” and the variety show “Pictures of an Exhibition”). From 10:15 p.m. onwards the band “Da Capo” let the guests celebrate on the dance floor.

White Parties (Max-Emanuel-Brauerei: January 29 – March 8, 2011)
The legendary “Weißen Feste” will take place for twelve times this year. The sole requirement for the parties in the Munich city district Maxvorstadt is: be dressed in white. Only on Mardi Gras it will be allowed to be dressed in colorful clothes – on the other days the costumes of nurses, doctors, sailors & Co will guarantee on a special atmosphere.

Kaiserball / Imperial Ball (International Congress Centre (ICM): February 11, 2011)
The exclusive Imperial Ball follows the example of the world famous Vienna Opera Ball. Here Munich’s society is dancing to the strains of the Vienna Hofburg Ball String Orchestra and the Austria Swingtett – tuxedos and evening dress are strictly required for this glamorous evening.

Ball of the Nations (Deutsches Theater Munich: February 12, 2011)
The “Ball of the Nations” is actually a dance competition, in which the best international youth couples show their skills in the standard dances at the beginning of the evening. Afterwards the 62nd European Cup will fascinate the guests with Latin American dances. During the breaks, the visitors can shake a leg and refresh their dancing skills in various workshops.
