The Armbrustschützenzelt (Crossbow Shooters Tent) at the Oktoberfest in Munich

The name of the tent “Armbrustschützenzelt” at the Oktoberfest in Munich has a very long tradition. The first Oktoberfest tent for the catering of crossbow shooters and to align rifle-championships was built in 1895 by the Armbrustschützen-Gilde. Since 75 years the German Crossbow Championships are aligned at 30 meters long shooting lanes which are located in an extension of the tent.

But this traditional tent offers its guest much more than shooting championships. The Crossbow Shooters Tent with its 7,500 seats is one of the 14 major tents of the Oktoberfest. Here you can enjoy traditional barbecue chicken and other delights, the specially brewed Paulaner Oktoberfest beer, the Bavarian-warm hospitality, lively Oktoberfest mood and (of course) the omnipresent noticeable shooter tradition.

Whether traditional brass band music, waltz or current Oktoberfest Hits: The accompanying music by the Platzl Oktoberfest band entertains the guest every day in the two weeks of the world’s most famous folk festival. While there is traditional Bavarian music during the lunch time and in the afternoon, the evenings stand for happy mood dancing, singing and partying.

Be warmly welcomed by the service-team and enjoy the Oktoberfest beer as well as the Bavarian delicacy and the lively atmosphere during a magnificent Oktoberfest day in Munich!
